Behind The Storyteller
The Start of Writing
I began writing at the age of ten—long before I ever imagined being called an author. Back then, it wasn’t about books or audiences. It was about survival, expression, and finding a voice as a super-introverted kid. My earliest work? A journal I called “letters to myself,” inspired by the TV show Doogie Howser, M.D.

Magic & Illusion: Breaking the Shell
Magic entered my world at twelve. After a year of practice behind closed doors, I stepped out and began performing illusions, transforming shyness into showmanship. It was my first taste of making the invisible visible—of connecting with others through wonder.
The Unexpected Call to Authorship
Over the years, people kept telling me, “You should write a book.” At first, it was about my life story (don’t worry, that book’s still to come). Later, it was about my poetry. Truthfully, I don’t even remember how I got into poetry—I just started writing, just like I had with my journal.
In 2014, I finally listened to the whispers and took a leap. I didn’t want an easy release of verses—I wanted something deeper. The Unmasking: Poems and the Thoughts Behind Them arrived in 2019, not as a mere collection, but as a reflection of resilience. Because nothing about my journey has been easy, and I wouldn’t know how to take the easy way out even if I tried.
Becoming an Empowerment Life Coach
As for becoming an Empowerment Life Coach, that too came from a steady inner pull and an outer chorus of encouragement. I’ve always been a listener—so much so that complete strangers would open up to me on public transit, sharing their entire life stories between stops.
Again, I heard: “You should be a life coach.” At first, I brushed it off. But curiosity led me deeper. I researched coaching and discovered something that felt tailor-made: empowerment coaching. Helping people rediscover strength in the middle of doubt or despair—that was me. So, I enrolled in a course and became certified. What was once a pattern of suggestions becoming a path of purpose.
